my good buddy jesse turned 40 in early 2024.  his wife reached out to me to commission a piece to celebrate the fellow.  materials were all over the place.  some notable ones included found plywood backer, outdated slot machine guts, pool noodle, bottle caps, license plate, malfunctioning led strip, toothbrush, plastic jewelry, turn signal indicator shards, acrylic paint cap, washer(s), plastic egg half, garden hose, dental floss casing, googly eye, nerf gun detritus, copper wire, nails, and vintage playing card cut-off.  naturally, plenty of hardwood and softwood off-cuts were included.  and adhesive.
